About AURA
AURA is a revolutionary automated IVF laboratory system developed by Conceivable Life Sciences. It combines robotic modules, software tools, and laboratory expertise to ensure consistent and high-precision workflows. As we continue developing and validating biological processes within the system, our research and lab operations team plays a critical role in ensuring scientific rigor, protocol optimization, and sample preparation.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Laboratory and Research Manager to join our team full-time in Guadalajara, Mexico. This role bridges hands-on biological research with the day-to-day administration of our laboratory space. You will lead and execute experiments in experimental or clinical embryology, perform wet-lab protocols, and provide biological sample support to the engineering team. In parallel, you will oversee laboratory operations, including equipment maintenance, ordering of disposables, and compliance with research standards.
The ideal candidate is methodical, self-directed, collaborative, and passionate about contributing to the future of fertility technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory experiments in experimental or clinical embryology
- Support IVF laboratory operations, including preparation of materials, handling of biological samples, and assistance with clinical and research protocols as needed
- Maintain a detailed lab journal and prepare reports on findings
- Manage the laboratory’s inventory, disposables, and equipment maintenance
- Provide biological samples and laboratory preparations to support engineering R&D
- Supervise and document clinical tests and trials as needed
- Ensure adherence to international standards for research quality and ethics
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in experimental or clinical embryology or a related life science field
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in embryology, biology, biotechnology, or a related discipline
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
- High attention to detail and strong documentation skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- In-depth understanding of embryology laboratory procedures
- Familiarity with IVF laboratory workflows and processes
- Knowledge of automation systems in clinical embryology settings
- Understanding of cell safety parameters in automated environments
- Based in Ciudad de México
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience managing or administering a laboratory environment
- Familiarity with clinical trial documentation or quality control systems
- Strong organizational and planning abilities in dynamic work environments
- Interest in reproductive health, biotechnology, or medical innovation
