Schedule: Monday–Friday | 4 Days/10 Hours | 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Job Type: Contract (Full-Time, Onsite)
Pay Rate: $26.21/hour

Job Summary

Care New England Health System is hiring two experienced Medical Assistants to support our Women's Medicine Cooperative in Providence, RI. This is a contractor role offering full-time hours and competitive hourly pay. You will play a vital role in both clinical and administrative tasks, serving as the primary link between patients and providers.

Key Responsibilities

Assist physicians with clinical procedures and patient preparation
Conduct CLIA-waived tests including phlebotomy, EKGs, glucometer, and spirometry
Obtain and record patient vitals: blood pressure, height, weight, temperature, etc.
Administer vaccinations as directed by physician
Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, clinical equipment, and inventory
Register patients, verify insurance, and handle appropriate referrals
Schedule patient appointments and coordinate provider schedules
Answer phone calls and direct communication as needed
Ensure medical records are updated with labs, allergies, and other documentation
Support elderly patients with seating, gowning, and mobility during visits

Required Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
Proficient in phlebotomy and point-of-care testing
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to multitask in a busy clinical setting
Comfortable with both clinical procedures and administrative duties

Shift Details

Monday through Friday
4 Days/10 Hours Shifts | 1 Shorter Day (at manager’s discretion)
40 hours/week
