Bgesh is looking for an eager and qualified OB/GYN Physician to join our team in support of the Indian Health Services (IHS) at Blackfeet Indian Reservation in Browning and Heart Butte, Montana.

QUALIFICATIONS:
DEGREE/EDUCATION:

Possess a degree or diploma from a professional medical program approved by the state accrediting agency
EXPERIENCE:
-
Twelve (12) months as an OB/GYN Physician
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION:
-
Current, valid, unrestricted medical provider license in a state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States
-
Board certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
-
Basic Life Support (BLS)
-
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
-
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
-
Valid state driver’s license
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
-
U.S. Citizenship: Workers performing under this contract must be US Citizens
-
Must have a clear background in order to obtain security clearance and a CAC
-
Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
-
Effectively use correct grammar and spelling in all written communications
-
Possess basic knowledge, skills, and abilities to use a computer
DUTIES:
-
Provide full range of emergency care to patients of all age ranges.
-
Exercise Knowledge of the medical provider procedures and its application to clinical practices in order to provide individualized, goal oriented medical provider care to the pediatric and adult patient
-
Exercise knowledge of scientific and psychosocial medical provider theory, principles, practices, and techniques in order to plan and provide quality medical care which meets the physical, spiritual, and social‐cultural needs of the Native American/Alaskan Native patient
-
Possesses knowledge of biological aspects of disease processes and illness in order to recognize complications and implement appropriate therapeutic intervention required
-
Have knowledge of the medications and dosages in order to recognize their desired effects, side effects, and complications of their use
-
Knowledge of childhood immunizations, vaccines and up to date patient education resources and information
-
Analyze the results of various medical procedures and translate them into appropriate medical interventions
-
Work effectively and harmoniously within the health care teams and with Native American/Alaskan Native patients and their families
-
Provide Inter‐Facility transports when needed and supported by schedule requirements
-
Follow facility policies and procedures, JACHO, OSHA, I.H.S. and other federal licensing, accreditations, and regulating body standards
-
Coordinate care teams, offer guidance, and support to team members
-
Teach and offer appropriate health education to staff, patients, and customer owners
-
Perform clinical/surgical procedures, intravenous access, and phlebotomy, point of care laboratory testing, IVIG infusions, EKG, SVN Respiratory Treatments and response to emergency codes
-
Adhere to the Safety management reporting requirements in accordance with the Service Unit Safety Measure Policy
-
Manage all patient information in accordance with HIPAA standards, Privacy Act, and IHS Service Unit and/or Health Center specific policies and protocols
