EarlyON Child and Family Centre Simcoe North is dedicated to providing parents and caregivers of children from prenatal to 6 years of age with essential services that support their parenting journey. Our programs are designed around the foundations of learning: Belonging, Well-being, Expression, and Engagement, ensuring a nurturing environment for families.
Summary
The OEYC-SN, delivering EarlyON Child and Family Centre programming and services, is seeking a motivated, dynamic manager to lead and oversee a range of programs that support children (birth to six years of age) and their families. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills and possess in-depth knowledge of child development, family systems, and community resources.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the EarlyON Child and Family Centre, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Lead, supervise, evaluate and mentor staff in their daily work environments.
- Implement program policies and procedures that align with organizational goals.
- Foster relationships with parents, caregivers, and community partners to enhance service offerings.
- Manage budgets, resources, and administrative tasks efficiently to support program sustainability.
- Evaluate program effectiveness through feedback and assessments to continuously improve services.
Requirements
- Graduate of a post-secondary program in child development, social services, early childhood development or a related field.
- Knowledge of child and family development and familiarity with best practices and effective programming in the field.
- 3-5 years progressive experience in supervisory or management role.
- Priority is given to Registered Early Childhood Educators in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check is mandatory
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Skills to communicate effectively with all groups (parents, caregivers, volunteers, staff, agencies, government) using a variety of media approaches.
- Experience with Microsoft Teams, Social Media Platforms and MS 365 Office
- Strong skills in team leadership, conflict management and supervision.·Valid Ontario Driver’s License and reliable transportation
Managers are often required to use frequent light to heavy physical effort (for purposes of set-up/take down of programs that are in EarlyON locations).
