Employer Paid:
Healthcare: Approximately $100 per pay period

The staff physician provides an active role in the clinical practice and oversight of the medical services provided by advanced practice providers. The staff physician will report directly to the Chief Medical Officer. The staff physician will have an identified clinical home for Family Planning and Gynecologic services, as well as provide abortion services in both the Missouri and Illinois locations. Position may require travel to PPGR’s Health Center locations. Must have a current and valid license to practice in the state of Missouri and Illinois, and a willingness to be in collaborative practice agreements with midlevel clinicians. Must apply for hospital admitting privileges at local area hospitals within the first 4 weeks of employment. Requires day, evening, and weekend hours. Requires effective written and oral communication skills. Requires mobility to provide physical exams if necessary. Requires the ability to navigate an electronic medical record. This position fulfills the cell phone reimbursement policy requirements.
Job Responsibilities: • Ensures compliance with approved affiliate medical protocols and compliance with PPFA Medical Standards and Guidelines
• Provides family planning, advanced gynecologic, female sterilizations, gynecologic surgeries, and abortion related services.
• Approves the skills of and supervises clinical practice of advanced practice clinicians, ensuring medical practice is within the confines of affiliate guidelines. Provides consultation services to these clinicians and chart review in accordance with PPGR guidelines and state regulations regarding collaborative practice.
• Attends quarterly meetings in which quality assurance, policies, and procedural changes may be discussed
• Assists in the training and professional education of clinicians and licensed staff as able;
• Adheres to affiliate policies on professionalism and the system for addressing client complaints
• Participates in health center/affiliate efforts to achieve established productivity and revenue cycle goals
• Other duties as assigned
• Periodic travel to affiliate locations may be required
Qualifications: • Licensed physician in Missouri and Illinois. I understand that it is my professional obligation to keep all licensure and certification up-to-date and to provide a copy of such to the affiliate. I understand that current licensure (and certification, if applicable) is a condition of my employment.
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in OB/Gyn
• Clinical privileges at local hospital(s)
• Effective interpersonal skills
• Ability to provide clinical leadership to mid-level clinicians
• Follows HIPAA privacy and security guidelines
Working Hours: • 1.0 FTE – (average of 4.5 clinical working days/week)
• Accessible to clinicians by phone as needed
• Meets with administrative management once per quarter (by phone is acceptable)
