Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Medical Advisor to play a key role in advancing our medical science initiatives in the fields of women’s and/or men’s health. Reporting to the Global Medical Science Director, the Medical Advisor will support the evaluation of new products and project opportunities, contribute to the scientific oversight of ongoing clinical activities, and provide expert medical input to commercial teams as needed. The ideal candidate will bring a strong scientific and medical foundation, strategic acumen, and a solid understanding of the pharmaceutical industry to help drive the company’s objectives forward.
Key Responsabilities :
-Due Diligence & Medical/Scientific Evaluation of new opportunities
- Collaborate with Business Development and other stakeholders to assess new products and /project opportunities (including new clinical trials), ensuring thorough medical and scientific evaluation.
- Support due diligence activities by providing expert insights on the medical and clinical aspects of new assets, technologies, or business opportunities
- Analyse scientific data, clinical trial results, and other relevant documents to guide decision-making in the evaluation of pipeline projects
-Medical Scientific Expertise to ongoing projects
- Provide medical and scientific support for the development of pipeline assets, ensuring alignment with company objectives, therapeutic areas, and regulatory standards
- Contribute medical insights and data interpretation during the preclinical and clinical development phases of pipeline projects
- Identify emerging medical trends, scientific advancements, and therapeutic developments that could impact the company's portfolio or new business opportunities
-Competitive Landscape & Market Insights on BH pipeline and marketed products
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the market and clinical environment for pipeline projects and marketed products
- Conduct in-depth analyses of the competitive landscape, staying informed on key developments, scientific innovations, and market trends within therapeutic areas of interest
- Provide actionable insights on competitor products, regulatory trends, and emerging scientific research to inform strategic decision-making
-Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Business Development, Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, and Marketing teams to ensure alignment on the medical and scientific direction of new opportunities
- Provide expertise during internal discussions and external meetings with potential partners or stakeholders
- Support the development of external communication materials, including presentations and scientific publications
- Share relevant medical and scientific knowledge with internal teams to foster a deeper understanding of therapeutic areas, scientific challenges, and medical trends
- Act as a subject matter expert in therapeutic areas of interest, providing guidance and training to colleagues in the Global Medical Team and beyond.
Job Requirements:
- Advanced degree (MD, MSc, PhD, or equivalent) in a scientific discipline (e.g., life sciences, medicine, pharmacy, or related fields). Medical degree with a PhD will be preferred over alternatives.
- Minimum of 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry, with significant experience in medical science, clinical development, or drug evaluation
- Expertise in Women’s Health and Men’s Health therapeutic areas relevant to the company’s pipeline,
- Strong background in conducting medical and scientific evaluations, including experience with due diligence activities and new product assessments
- Robust scientific and clinical knowledge, with the ability to critically evaluate complex scientific data
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to inform decision-making at the highest levels.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex scientific concepts in a clear and actionable manner
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with diverse teams and engage with external partners or stakeholders.
