About the Role
The Anaemia Nurse Advisor (ANA) will join a small team of Nurse Advisors providing national support and training to key IV iron infusion clinics and hospitals. The overall purpose of the job is to educate and increase knowledge among healthcare professionals (HCPs) in regard to the management of Iron deficiency (ID)/ Iron Deficiency Anaemia (IDA) and the treatment of ID/IDA. The educational material covers both basic anaemia training and as well as specific therapeutic area training, practical training, administration and dosing of high dose (HD) intravenous (IV) iron and safety training. The position will cover a number of interesting therapeutic areas including, but not limited to Primary Healthcare, Gastroenterology, Haematology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Cardiology. The position will also contribute to the development of HCP and patient educational tools and resources and support key HCP stakeholder relationships. The role is Part Time, 3 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Engage in the development of the educational material for HCPs
- Identify, share and advance optimal iron therapy practices and co-develop nurse and patient support tools and materials
- Contribution to the annual brand plan, focusing on projects/audits with local nurses
- In cooperation with Brand Manager (BM), Medical and sales team plan national activities to engage and education HCPs
- Ensure internal SOPs and processes are followed, including those covering pharmacovigilance and company standards regarding the reporting and quality monitoring of activities
- Provide internal training and support to the Menarini customer-facing team
- Communicate and exchange information between regional team members to ensure maximum awareness and share best practice
- Effective use of CRM systems (Mfield) to plan and monitor nurse activities
- Ensure personal conduct is consistent with Menarini Vision and Values
Qualifications
Professional Qualifications / Competencies
- Qualified, registered nurse (RN) with good working knowledge of infusion medicine
- Good at building relationships/networks
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and good cross-functional collaboration is very important
- Confident presenter
- Customer-oriented – analyse and meet/exceed customers’ needs
- Responsible – timely and explicit feed-back to customers on agreements
- A strong drive and self-motivation to help establish and improve best practices in iron deficiency care
- Knowledge of primary care, gastroenterology, haematology, cardiology and patient blood management, is an advantage
- Experience in anaemia and iron deficiency is an advantage
- Previous experience working for a pharmaceutical company is an advantage
