Job Summary
The Certified Nurse Midwife will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to women throughout their lifespan, with a focus on reproductive health, prenatal care, childbirth, and postpartum recovery. This role emphasizes a team-based approach to deliver comprehensive healthcare, including preventive services, education, and counseling.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Provide a wide range of healthcare services, including prenatal and postnatal care, gynecological exams, newborn care, and childbirth assistance.
Perform routine tests to monitor the health of expectant mothers and their babies.
Administer preventive health services, including immunizations and screenings.
Educate and counsel patients on wellness, disease prevention, and reproductive health.
Assist women in labor and delivery, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and baby.
Document patient medical histories and develop detailed treatment plans.
Collaborate with obstetricians, physicians, and healthcare professionals as needed to provide holistic care.
Provide dietary, exercise, and sleep guidance to expectant mothers.
Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with regulatory standards and under appropriate supervision.
Participate in health promotion activities, community outreach, and professional development initiatives.
Prerequisites / License & Certification Requirements
Completion of a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) Program in the United States (excluding Puerto Rico).
Arizona State License (or eligibility to obtain).
