WHIWH CHC provides racialized women, trans and non-binary clients from the African, Black, Caribbean, Latin American, and South Asian communities in Toronto and surrounding municipalities with culturally safe, relevant, and responsive primary healthcare. We are changemakers engaged in knowledge transfer and exchange, research, capacity building, and advocacy within and across multiple systems.
The Centre has an opportunity for a professional, motivated and dynamic individual to join the team
CHIROPODIST
0.6 FTE ( 3 days per week)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform assessment, diagnosis, treatment, health education/counselling and other clinical foot care activities according to the College of Chiropodists of Ontario.
- Ensure chiropody areas, resources, materials and equipment is maintained, including instrument sterilization;
- Contribute to chart documentation, participate in chart reviews and case conferences and make referrals.
- Participate in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of treatment, education, counselling and health promotion programs and services for clients of the Centre.
- Advocating on an individual basis for and with patients to other agencies and institutions
Qualification
- Degree from a recognized school of chiropody.
- Current registration with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario without limitations.
- Three to five years’ chiropody experience in a Community Health or Hospital setting.
- Experience in program development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, an asset.
- Proficiency in the use of computers and various software applications.
- Experience using Electronic Health Record system - experience with PS Suites is an asset
- Ability to work collaboratively within and across teams
- In addition to English, knowledge of a language spoken within one of the four priority communities, an asset.

COMPENSATION: Based on experience and qualifications, starting at $61,337.00 annually based on 1 FTE, with an annual step progression up to a maximum of $73,904.00 pro-rated.
