Overview
The Clinical Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the practice by coordinating nursing staff schedules and supporting patient care. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively communicate with both patients and healthcare professionals. The Clinical Coordinator will be responsible for direct oversight to clinical staff, work actively on the clinical floor, and oversee clinical nursing quality ensuring compliance with established protocols.
Duties
- Coordinate nursing staff schedules with Assistant Administrator. Communicate and coordinate same day/week adjustments to clinical staff coverage.
- Provide direct oversite to clinical staff. Serves as key problem-solving resource for staff on patient issues.
- Actively work on the clinical floor to support clinical staff and providers. Active member of the In Office Anesthesia Team.
- Oversee clinical nursing quality, ensuring compliance with established protocols
- Analyzes staffing patterns and collaborates with the Assistant Administrator on recruiting, selecting, orienting/training and evaluating clinical staff.
- Makes sure the clinical competencies of all clinical staff are evaluated on a regular basis throughout the year and annually. Advises on appropriate corrective actions and development opportunities.
- Maintains high quality of care by clinical staff through continuous improvement of standards and protocols. Ensures all staff are trained in quality assurance/control requirements and meet these standards.
- Participates in medical practice planning related to clinic and emergency/disaster response system.
- Assist with monthly clinical staff meetings.
