The Health Center Manager is responsible for the daily operations of Trust Women’s Wichita clinic, overseeing patient services, staff coordination, compliance, and facility management. This role partners closely with clinic leadership, clinicians, and administrative teams to ensure high-quality, trauma-informed, and equitable reproductive health care. The manager supports and implements organizational policies while respecting the rights of unionized staff and upholding the terms of the CBA.
Operations
- Oversee day-to-day clinical and administrative operations, ensuring seamless patient care and team coordination.
- Ensure compliance with organizational protocols, medical regulations, and documentation standards.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure appropriate use of the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Manage inventory and supply ordering; oversee clinical equipment and facility maintenance in collaboration with facilities and security staff.
- Participate in safety drills and maintain a clean, secure, and welcoming clinic environment.
Financial
- Partner with leadership to develop, monitor, and manage the clinic’s operating and capital budgets.
- Track key financial metrics such as patient volume, no-show rates, and on-site collections.
- Oversee fee collection, cash handling, and reconciliations, ensuring compliance with internal financial procedures.
- Maintain accurate petty cash records and submit timely reports and invoices.
- Support financial audits and ensure implementation of corrective action plans where needed.
Staff Management
- Supervise clinic staff, providing clear expectations, supportive feedback, and consistent leadership.
- Coordinate staffing needs and communicate position changes to Human Resources; participate in interviews when appropriate.
- Partner with Human Resources to ensure compliance with the CBA in matters related to scheduling, work assignments, and discipline.
- Provide coaching, day-to-day support, and performance input in accordance with organizational and union processes.
- Foster a positive work environment built on respect, accountability, and shared commitment to Trust Women’s mission.
Patient Experience / Customer Service
- Promote a welcoming and respectful environment for all patients, centering compassion, privacy, and dignity.
- Monitor patient flow, access to appointments, and overall service satisfaction.
- Respond promptly and professionally to concerns, escalating as appropriate.
- Administer patient satisfaction surveys and contribute to improvement efforts based on feedback.
- Model inclusive, nonjudgmental, and patient-focused communication practices for all staff.
Community Partnership / Coordination
- Maintain professional relationships with local health providers, vendors, and community agencies.
- Support collaborative agreements and patient referral pathways to ensure continuity of care.
- Coordinate facility needs with building management and service contractors.
- Attend internal planning meetings and contribute to the clinic's strategy.
- Represent Trust Women in a manner aligned with our values of compassion, autonomy, and reproductive justice.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, public health, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience required in a healthcare or clinical setting.
- Direct patient care experience and/or clinical certification (RN, MA, etc.) is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
