ChristianaCare is hiring a full-time Office Assistant to join their team at a Women's Health practice at our Concord Health Center.

As an office assistant you would be joining a team of 6 providers, 5 Medical Assistants, 3 Office Assistant's and 3 nurses.

Office Hours:

Monday 8-430
Tuesday 730-430
Wednesday 7-430
Thursday 8-430
Friday 730-430

This is a 40-hour week position, varying start/end times.

Duties / Responsibilities:

As an office assistant you will be involved with scheduling appointments, interacting with patients professionally, and ensuring patient confidentiality. Collecting demographic and financial information, processing referrals, and verifying insurance reimbursement eligibility. An office assistant will be involved in day-end reconciliation of appointments and payments received. You will need to answer phone calls professionally, relays messages to providers, and communicates with providers and staff through electronic medical records (EMR). You will keep patients informed about issues and facilitate tests, labs, and appointments. An office assistant prepares medical records, research issues, and respond to patients professionally. Assist with administrative tasks and adhere to departmental safety rules.

Education Requirements:

High School Graduate or GED required.
Medical receptionist or medical assistant degree preferred but not required.
Experience in a medical office setting or customer service environment is preferred but not required.
