The University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria is seeking Maternal Fetal Medicine subspecialists to help build a new academic division under a stable and growing Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Position Summary
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Peoria campus of the University of Illinois College of Medicine seeks a full-time Maternal Fetal Medicine physician to provide comprehensive health care in both inpatient and ambulatory settings, including actively participating in the educational and clinical training of residents and medical students.
Duties & Responsibilities

Provide patient care in Maternal Fetal Medicine.

Teach, train, mentor, and precept residents and medical students in the context of clinical Maternal Fetal Medicine.

Consultative model allowing Maternal Fetal Medicine to attend deliveries if preferred but not required.

Supported by 6 APPs, ARDMS certified sonographers, 2 diabetes educators, 2 perinatal nutritionists and a genetic counselor.

Works collaboratively with Children’s Hospital of Illinois and University of Illinois subspecialties.

Develop/delivery academic presentations.

Shared call.
Minimum Qualifications
-
MD or DO.

Board-certified or board-eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine.

Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Illinois.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to teach residents and medical students.

Interest in academic leadership roles and scholarly activities.

The budgeted salary range for the position is $550,000 to $650,000 per year.
Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity.
