Overview
Women’s Integrative OBGYN is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to join our boutique practice. We are a single specialty practice with an emphasis in women’s health and wellness, high quality, holistic, specialty OBGYN care. Our main location is in prestigious Buckhead, Atlanta with a satellite location in Alpharetta, GA.
Our delivering hospital is Wellstar North Fulton Hospital (at the Roswell/Alpharetta border) - famous for its support of natural vaginal deliveries, extremely low cesarean rate, and the option for a water-birth experience.
This is an excellent opportunity for either a recent graduate to have 1:1 mentorship through clinical and hospital training, or an experienced midwife looking to expand their practice and prioritize work-life balance, in a boutique, high quality, luxury environment.
Commitment: Our practice is part of larger coverage group that provides 24-hour in house midwife support. You would be taking call with Dr. Stacey Pereira who is a rotating laborist physician in the coverage group. Full-time is slightly less than the average Midwifery commitment at most practices with the opportunity to add additional hours incentivized if desired:
- 1- 24 hour in house call per week at Wellstar North Fulton Hospital
- 1-2 weekend calls per month (fri OR sat OR sun)
- 2 clinic days per week one at each clinic location (Buckhead, Alpharetta)
Responsibilities
- Full spectrum of prenatal and postpartum care.
- Intrapartum laboring support and delivery in hospital in collaboration with a physician.
- Collaborate with Ob/Gyn specialists when necessary for high-risk pregnancies or complications.
- Participate in hospital rounds and provide primary care as needed.
- Provide preventative wellness and gynecologic services in clinic including but not limited to: Annual exams, family planning, contraceptive insertion/removal (IUD and implants). There is opportunity to expand your practice with mentorship in HRT (hormone replacement therapy), weight loss and other areas you may find of interest including injectables such at Botulinum therapy.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Midwife is required; experience in Ob/Gyn is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in performing sutures and other necessary procedures related to childbirth.
- Familiarity with acute care protocols and hospital procedures.
- Strong skills in medical documentation and maintaining accurate patient records.
- Ability to develop effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Experience with family planning services is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate patients effectively.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, culturally competent care.
- Preferred Spanish or Portuguese language skills
