About The Role
The Senior House Officer (SHO) positions offer attachments of three or six months, with RMOs completing six-month attachments being eligible for the O&G Diploma. These positions provide a great opportunity to gain practical experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, working alongside experienced consultants and registrars. The successful candidates will be part of a supportive team at Tauranga Hospital, which handles approximately 2,500 births annually. The role is ideal for those looking to gain valuable skills in a high-quality teaching environment.
About The Team/Service
Tauranga Hospital's Obstetrics and Gynaecology department is a well-established team, consisting of 11 Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, eight registrars, and eight Senior House Officers. The department serves a large community, providing a wide range of services including antenatal care, gynaecological surgeries, and general obstetrics.

As a Senior House Officer, you will have a strong interest in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and possess excellent communication and clinical skills. You are eager to work within a team, learning from experienced specialists, and contributing to patient care. You will thrive in a busy, dynamic environment and be committed to both your personal and professional growth.
