Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has become available for a research nurse or AHP to join the research team within Division 6 (Gastro, hepatology, ITU, ED, Orthopaedics, IR_. This role will be based at The Royal Bournemouth site working at times.
The Division 6 portfolio is very active at UHD offering trials in multiple specialities. The post holder will work closely with the Senior Research Nurses and other members of the wider multi-disciplinary team to offer trial opportunities to both inpatients and outpatients.
Clinical experience in one of the fore mentioned specialities /or research is essential. You will be responsible for assessing and managing the care pathways for patients participating in clinical trials, being responsible for a caseload of trial patients. This will involve the identification, recruitment, education and monitoring of these patients and the collection and documentation of accurate data. You will be required to prioritise your own workload and to work autonomously as well as being responsible for identifying new research opportunities.
Depending on experience this job will be offered a band 5 with progression to band 6 once research competencies have been achieved.

The post will be predominantly working within the Division 6 team, however you will need to be flexible in your working approach, and provide cross-cover and collaboration where required. There may be a requirement to work across our Bournemouth and Poole sites on occasion.
