The First Nations University of Canada invites applications for the position of Research Assistant to assist with research for the Wasakama: Make A Circle project, within the Indigenous Health Studies (INHS) program.

Reporting to the Program Coordinator for INHS, this position is responsible for scanning competencies and source material, interviewing Elders and Knowledge Keepers, and creating a guiding document to inform the Sexual and Reproductive Health Support Worker program within INHS. This position can be located at any of our 3 campuses or can be done remotely if needed.
Duties:
- Assist with research and conduct a review of Indigenous Sexual and Reproductive Health competencies and teachings,
- Support project organization and administration,
- Conduct data analysis that will culminate in a final report,
- Create a list of content experts for the program,
Qualifications:
- Applicants should hold a Master’s degree or be working towards a Master degree.
- Preference will be given to students with experience in health programs.
- Have strong communication skills and ability to work independently,
- Be comfortable with a variety of computer programs (word processing, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
