An opportunity is now available to join the Midwifery at Home team located at Nepean Hospital. This position on offer is a Temporary Part time role working 4 days per week.
Your role as the Registered Midwife will see you ensure optimal outcomes for women and their families of the service through the promotion of best practice. Including the appropriate escalation of care and to work collaboratively utilising effective team communication with members of the multidisciplinary health team in the planning, implementation, assessment and evaluation of patient care. Within this role you will act as an advocate for the specific needs of all women and their families including those from the Indigenous population or other multi-cultural groups providing appropriate care to the woman undergoing specialised procedures.
Working as a part of the Midwifery at Home team will allow you to meet the needs of staff, patients and their families whilst working in a diverse team demonstrating CORE values whilst providing exceptional person-centered care.

What You Will Bring To The Role
- Current registration with AHPRA Registered Midwife (division 1)
- Demonstrated recent experience and clinical skill in midwifery
- Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
- Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide woman centred care
- Demonstrated effective communication skills – written and verbal
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development
- Ability to work day shift across all days of the week according to the unit/service requirements and possess a Current NSW State driver's licence (including P1 or above) and willingness to use for work purposes. This may include driving long distances across the LHD.
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment
