Position Overview: The CNM will provide expert care for women in a supportive, team-oriented environment. This role involves working with patients of all ages and stages of life, offering services related to pregnancy, childbirth, gynecology, and reproductive health. The CNM will focus on prenatal, postpartum, gynecological exams, and family planning while fostering a strong relationship with patients in an outpatient clinic setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide prenatal care, including screening, assessment, and education for expecting mothers in outpatient settings.
- Conduct well-woman exams, including routine gynecological exams, screenings (Pap smears, breast exams), and family planning counseling.
- Manage labor and delivery care for patients when necessary, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.
- Provide postpartum care, including maternal and newborn assessments, counseling, and education on breastfeeding and infant care.
- Educate and counsel patients on health promotion, wellness, reproductive health, and contraceptive options.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, gynecologists, pediatricians, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
- Perform minor procedures such as IUD insertion/removal, colposcopy, and others within the CNM scope of practice.
- Document patient history, physical examinations, lab results, diagnoses, treatment plans, and referrals in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide emotional support and care throughout the pregnancy and postpartum period, addressing the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of patients.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement activities and adhere to professional practice guidelines.
- Educate and advocate for patients regarding informed decision-making and promote evidence-based practices.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nurse Midwifery from an accredited institution.
- Certification as a Nurse Midwife by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).
- Active, unrestricted RN license in [Insert State].
- Minimum of [Insert Years of Experience] years of experience as a CNM, preferably in an outpatient or ambulatory care setting.
- Strong knowledge of women's health, prenatal, and postpartum care, including high-risk pregnancy management.

- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and other medical technologies.

Preferred Skills:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or other languages) is a plus.
- Experience with low-risk and high-risk pregnancies.
- Knowledge and experience in performing minor gynecological procedures.

Pay: $130,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
