About the role:
The Director Nursing and Midwifery (Gladstone and Banana) role the professional lead for Nursing and Midwifery Services and is responsible for supporting Nursing Leadership at all levels to provide high quality, safe, evidence-based care through education, research and professional development.
The position provides direct management for the Gladstone and Banana Maternity Service, Paediatric Unit, Child and Family Health Service and Child Protection Service; accountable for the coordination of service delivery, human and material management, expertise in the health care team, communication and highly developed data analysis and fiscal management to deliver safe, quality, effective and efficient healthcare provision. The role is also responsible for the oversight of the operationalisation of the business unit strategic projects, ensuring robust governance systems are in place across all facilities in the Gladstone and Banana business unit, and to collaborate with other services and stakeholders across the broader CQ Health.
About you:
- Registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Midwife (RM) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and a current annual practising certificate are mandatory for this
- Relevant Post graduate qualifications in nursing/midwifery would be highly regarded for this
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $198,959 is comprised of:
- An hourly rate of $87.94 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
