Key Points
The Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) Registrar is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients, both inpatient and outpatient, under the supervision of consultant of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department. The role requires expertise in obstetric and gynecological emergencies, labor management, and postnatal care. They coordinate treatment plans, prescribe treatments, and provide constant monitoring and care to patients.
Job Description / Responsibility
- Assist consultants in the management of obstetric and gynecological patients.
- Conduct patient assessments, diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Perform and assist in deliveries, C-sections, and gynecological procedures.
- Monitor high-risk pregnancies and manage obstetric emergencies.
- Provide postnatal care and counseling to patients.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
- Participate actively in the department's on-call rota to address patient care and admissions, responding to emergencies and offering medical advice
- Ensure adherence to hospital protocols and clinical guidelines.
- Participate in academic activities, case discussions, and training programs.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS)
- Diploma in Gynecology and Obstetrics. (DGO)

- 5 to 6 year(s)
