We are currently looking for a certified Medical Assistant to join our team!
Essential functions and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;
- Communicates, collaborates, and seeks out opportunities to provide quality service to patients, Physicians, staff, and others in a courteous manner.
- Provides phlebotomy services for patient labs.
- Provides clinical care consistent with Physician orders and department policies and procedures.
- Sends prescriptions to pharmacies.
- Carefully documents patient care in medical records.
- Assists Physicians with IVF procedures.
- Minimizes patient delays by scheduling patients and surgeries in an organized and efficient manner.
- Organizes and maintains inventory of clinical and office supplies.
- Cleans and equips exam rooms, ensuring sterility and compliance with The Joint Commission, OSHA, HIPAA, and other quality assurance standards.
- Consistently maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in our engaging field of work.
The right person for this role must have the following qualifications;
- Registered graduate (RMA or CMA) of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Minimum of 1-year experience working as a Medical Assistant; obstetrics and gynecology experience preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of compliance with JCAHO, OSHA, and HIPAA.
- Strong computer skills.
