Phone Triage-In Office role

We are currently recruiting a Part Time Registered Nurse/LPN for Phone Triage to join us in our Indianapolis, Indiana location.
The person hired will be responsible for the coordination of patient care and an important participant in policy and procedure implementations as they relate to medical services for nursing staff, primarily via the telephone. Other job duties include but are not limited to:
- Evaluate and assess the patient’s health care needs based on the patient’s signs and symptoms utilizing established triage protocols and guidelines.
- Obtains appropriate input and direction from the provider as needed to determine the best clinical course of action and recommendations for specific patient healthcare.
- Accurately documents symptoms/complaints, nursing assessment, advice provided, and patient/caller response. Follows policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure consistency and departmental effectiveness as well as improve health care outcomes of patients/callers and their access to appropriate health.
Qualified candidates will have experience as a Registered Nurse, a degree from an accredited nursing program, CPR certification, and a minimum of 3 years of experience working in a medical facility, preferably in an OB/GYN setting. Knowledge of CPT coding, lab-specific order sets, and eCW are beneficial.
