We currently have a 1 year fixed term vacancy to cover maternity leave within the Surgical Specialties Division.
We require a dynamic and motivated Scrub Practitioner with at least 4 years’ experience at Band 5.
Working as a Scrub Nurse or Scrub Operating Department Practitioner you will be required to function effectively as a member of the perioperative team to ensure the provision and development of an efficient and high quality surgical service. You will need to deliver a holistic care package which is current, evidence based and effective. You will also have a broad knowledge and skill base including communication and team working skills, and be able to contribute to the smooth running of the theatre department.
We are committed to ongoing professional development and opportunities exist to undertake a wide range of in-house and university based training programmes. Also we provide a comprehensive robotic service, meaning there will be opportunity to train within this specialty.
The successful candidate will hold the appropriate qualifications to be currently registered as a practitioner (RGN or ODP) and demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development. They will also be able to demonstrate experience as a scrub practitioner in Urology.
