As a vital member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in delivering compassionate and quality care to patients within the psychiatric setting. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct and indirect patient care, ensuring adherence to professional nursing standards.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to coordinate patient services and education.
- Provide age-appropriate care across diverse patient demographics, including preadolescents, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
- Act as a Preceptor and mentor for new staff, fostering a supportive learning environment.
- Participate in the hospital’s Continuous Quality Improvement Program and various committee assignments.
- Manage physical demands associated with patient care, including heavy lifting and transport.
- Complete 52 hours of continuing education annually to maintain licensure and enhance skills.

- Competence in managing aggressive patients and employing physical intervention techniques as needed.

Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- An Associate's degree in nursing is preferred.
- A minimum of one year of psychiatric nursing experience is preferred.
- Valid LPN license in Missouri or GPN (must pass the Missouri NCLEX exam within 90 days of graduation).
