Job Title: Andrologist / Junior Embryologist

This role involves working directly with the Laboratory Director and qualified candidates will perform in vitro fertilization, artificial insemination, cryopreservation of embryos, and assistance of embryo transfers. Additional duties may extend to supervising other team members and assisting with hands-on experiential learning.
Supervision Received: Reports to Lab Manager and Lab Director
Essential Functions:

● Perform semen analysis, sperm preparation, and cryopreservation for fertility treatments or storage
● Prepare culture media and dish preparation
● Collects eggs and sperm (gametes from patients for processing).
● Prepares gametes and the environment for the in vitro fertilization (IVF) and facilitation of fertilization.
● Preserves gametes and embryos for future use; embryo culture and cryopreservation.
● Monitors fertilization checks and embryo development through different stages.
● Selects embryos for transfer to recipient women, research, or other intended use and the implantation of embryos into reproductive organs,
● Monitors and maintains Cryobanks
● Maintains an understanding of human reproductive biology, infertility, and assisted reproductive technology.
● Maintain and operate lab equipment, ensuring quality control and compliance with protocols
● Maintain and record patient care.
● Maintains confidentiality of all patient information according to federal and state guidelines and regulations.
● Be part of the on-call for weekends and emergency calls for lab
● Knowledge of and compliance with quality control, ethical issues, and regulations surrounding gamete and embryo handlings.
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in a biological science, Medical Technology, or related field of science.
Experience: 1-3 years’ experience in a clinical laboratory setting performing basic and advanced embryology techniques.
Skills and Qualifications:

· Excellent work ethic and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
