About us:
The Women and Newborn unit is composed of Maternity and Midwifery Group Practice with Extended Midwifery Services, and an Neonatal Nursery. The unit is women and family centred care, reflecting the needs of each woman within a safe and sustainable quality system. Appropriately trained and qualified maternity health professionals provide continuous or shared maternity care to women whom meet the service capability of Gladstone Hospital.
About the role:
- Management of the safe and effective nursing care provided for patients, and human, material and financial resources are used effectively and efficiently.
- The provision of a healthy and safe environment within the health service is everyone's responsibility.
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with the Queensland Public Service Act and CQ Health values.
- Actively participate in the Performance Appraisal and Development (PAD) process and engage in continuous learning and workplace improvement and innovation.
- Understand your broad responsibility for safety and quality in healthcare, actively participate in continuous quality and safety improvement activities within the workplace and notify a relevant clinical or non-clinical responsible officer when concerns exist about workplace or patient safety.
About you:
- Current registration as a Registered midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate are mandatory for this position.
- Post Graduate qualifications relevant to the role would be highly regarded.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $89,552 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $54.44 – 58.30 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
