Our corporate headquarters is in Voorhees, New Jersey. We are currently recruiting a Molecular Medical Lab Technologist to join us in our Lab in Oaks, PA care center location.
Axia’s full service, state-of-the-art laboratory performs anatomic pathology, clinical pathology, and molecular (DNA-based) testing. The Molecular Technologist performs clinical molecular diagnostic testing, including molecular genetics testing and is a key member of our laboratory team, helping Axia to provide full scope of services to Axia Women’s Health patients.
The ideal candidate possesses a working knowledge of molecular biology with experience in the performance and application of techniques used in clinical molecular diagnostic testing including: DNA and RNA isolation, real-time PCR, DNA sequencing and other related molecular diagnostic techniques. Candidate should have the ability to follow standard protocols and to independently perform laboratory routine testing in the area of molecular pathology.
This position is a full-time on-site position in Oaks, PA. Hours are Monday - Friday 7a - 330p with rotating Sunday for a few hours.
Essential Functions
- Independently and accurately perform routine and complex molecular testing, including DNA/RNA extraction and PCR.
- Review preliminary and final test results.
- Assist in resolution of technical problems in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures.
- Record, compile, and maintain records according to laboratory policies to ensure state and federal regulations are upheld for all reagents, procedures, and equipment used in the testing process.
- Assists with maintenance and calibration of lab equipment.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field (medical technology, clinical lab science OR chemical, physical, or biological science)
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience working as a Molecular Technologist in a clinical laboratory.
- Minimum 1 year lab experience in clinical/diagnostic molecular testing or 2 years general clinical laboratory experience
- ASCP or AMT certification.
- Working knowledge of molecular biology with experience in the performance and application of techniques used in clinical, molecular diagnostic testing, including DNA & RNA isolation, real-time PCR, DNA sequencing, and other related molecular diagnostic techniques
