OB/GYN Physician - Full or Part time Medical Practice Opportunity! Very competitive salary, benefits and incentive package available for full spectrum OB/GYN!
We are seeking an OB/GYN physician who is passionate about caring for women and treating their medical needs. Will test, treat, diagnose and monitor disorders and illnesses related to women's health and their reproductive systems. Will perform exams and procedures, counsel patients, and treat women through their entire pregnancy terms and beyond. This position will join an OB/GYN practice of 3 OB/GYN providers and several Family Practice providers that provide OB services. On-call responsibilities are part of this position.
OB-GYN Duties And Responsibilities
- Interview new patients to assess their symptoms, needs, or problems; record and utilize their medical history for diagnosis
- Perform well-women exams that include pap smears, pelvic, and breast exams
- Conduct follow-ups with patients to monitor and track their condition
- Counsel patients on safe sex practices and preventative medicine practices
- Monitor and treat patients during pregnancy and childbirth, including prenatal advising up to delivery and postnatal care
- Order and analyze necessary tests, screenings, biopsies, scans, etc. to effectively diagnose a problem
- Direct, advise, and supervise medical staff including medical assistants, LPN's, medical students, etc. on proper procedures and protocol
- Continue personal education on current medical practices and innovations by reading medical journals, attending conferences, etc
OB-GYN Requirements And Qualifications
- Must have obtained a Doctorate of Medicine
- Must have completed a 4 year OB-GYN residency
- Must have a valid license to practice and board-certified in the State of Wisconsin
- Prior OB/GYN experience is preferred but those completing their residencies will be considered for this position
- Proficient at patient charting and knowledgeable with EPIC's medical record system would be very beneficial
- Able to effectively monitor and manage other medical staff and assistants
- Compassionate and personable with an exemplary bedside manner
- Ability to positively interact and communicate well with all medical providers, staff, patients and families is essential
- Should have sound judgment and expert decision-making abilities
