Markham Fertility Centre is seeking 2 full time ultrasound technologists, one in Barrie-Innisfil and another in Markham, Ontario. Markham Fertility Centre and its partners in reproductive imaging are patient-focused and enthusiastic about women’s health, which is at the heart of everything we do. Hours are predictable and consistent with no shift work and there is onsite, paid parking for employees.
- Position 1: Care Imaging, co-located with Markham Fertility Centre adjacent to the Markham-Stouffville Hospital, specializing in gynecology and obstetrical ultrasounds.
- Position 2: Stroud Ultrasound, located in Barrie-Innisfil, with a focus on obstetrics and gynecological health.
Responsibilities
The sonographer that joins our team will:
- Perform all types of gynecological and obstetrical examinations
- Assist doctors in the ultrasound guided procedures, including but not limited to: sonohysterograms, ovum retrievals, and embryo transfers (training will be provided)
- Have the ability to work as a team member as well as on your own using tactfulness, initiative, and independent judgment
- Demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills
- Have competency with computer software
- Maintain proper care and cleaning of ultrasound equipment
Qualifications
- Must be registered in good standing as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (DMS) with CMRITO, Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS
- Must have personal Professional Liability Insurance (PLI)
- Certification in Nuchal Translucency with an active license through Fetal Medicine Foundation an asset
