Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Sonographer to join our OB/GYN, Women's Health team at our Advance-Southeast Raleigh location. As an Ultrasound Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic sonographic imaging using ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images of internal organs, tissues, and blood flow. Your work will play a critical role in helping physicians diagnose and treat patients. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Knowledge of Women's Health ultrasonic diagnostic procedures.
- Must be knowledgeable of the principles, practices, and techniques of OB/GYN sonography. Must have sufficient knowledge of anatomy and physiology pertaining to OB/GYN examinations.
- Performing diagnostic imaging procedures using ultrasound equipment.
- Preparing patients for procedures and explaining the process to them.
- Analyzing images to ensure high-quality results.
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine the best course of treatment for patients.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring patient confidentiality.
- Determine if anatomy is normal or abnormal; delineate the abnormality and extend the scope of the study appropriately.
- Monitor patient well-being and provide technical assistance to clinician during medical procedures requiring ultrasound guidance.
- Perform high-level sterilization according to Clinical Compliance standards following each exam.
- Effectively and compassionately explains procedures to patients, reducing anxiety and enhancing cooperation; Appropriate age and developmentally specific guidelines should be carefully followed as well.
- Participate with clinician in interpretation of studies, contributing technical and professional knowledge to the final diagnostic impression or report.
- Ability to put patient at ease during ultrasound(s) and procedure(s).
- Maintain examination rooms and work areas. Order and stock all ultrasound supplies.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
- Associate’s degree or Completion of an AMA approved Radiology Program.
- Preferred – 1 year of ultrasound technologist experience in OB/GYN.
- Current CPR Certification – BLS Required
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze images for quality and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
