Job Purpose
GDAHA is contracted with Montgomery County to convene and facilitate the relaunch of the countywide Maternal & Infant Health Taskforce. The Maternal & Infant Health Coordinator is responsible for being the liaison between GDAHA and regional, state, and federal partners in support of our community-wide commitment to improve maternal and infant health in the Dayton region with a dedicated focus on Montgomery County. This individual is responsible for providing administrative support, project management and implementation, operational coordination, and subject-matter expertise in support of the Maternal & Infant Health Taskforce and its committee structure. The Maternal & Infant Health Collaboration Coordinator is responsible for displaying the mission, vision, and values of GDAHA alongside their colleagues.
Duties and Responsibilities
Collaboration Support
- Serves as the staff coordinator for the taskforce which includes a steering committee, leadership council, and 3 – 4 strategy-focused committees.
- Develops, facilitates, and leads internal and external meetings and/or presentations in partnership with the President & CEO and Vice President of Health Initiatives.
- Oversees the necessary data partnerships and collection to equip the taskforce with data points across a diverse series of partners that will inform the taskforce’s strategy development and activities.
- Oversees environmental assessments in Montgomery County to identify gaps and barriers to provide community insight to taskforce leaders and equip taskforce leaders with recommendations for new partnerships.
- Manages project-based activities within the taskforce structure and coordinates projects with taskforce funders and partners, to build collaborative model that supports women, mothers, and infants.
- Develops written communications for marketing materials such as informational brochures, flyers, and other handouts, as well as social media and website content in partnership with GDAHA’s communications team.
- Assists Vice President of Health Initiatives with obtaining funding for new or expanded projects consistent with the maternal and infant health taskforce’s strategic goals.
- Coordinates financial tracking and monitoring of local, state, or federal funding that supports the work of the maternal and infant health taskforce in partnership with GDAHA’s finance team.
- Serves as a liaison and outreach to community members and various agencies increasing diversity and engagement in the maternal and infant health taskforce.
- Promotes and increases the support for collective action on the taskforce and strategy committees and maintains positive relationships with other agencies and community groups.
- Coordinates implementation of evaluation of strategies to assess the taskforce’s impact on infant mortality in partnership with steering committee and funding partners.
- Prepares reports for Montgomery County and other funders related to the taskforce deliverables as needed.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for women and mothers interested in engaging and providing personal feedback, insights, and direction to the taskforce.

Qualifications
Experience (at a minimum)
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in public health, health administration, social work, or another related field.
- Experience in a hospital, public health, other healthcare entity, or human services agency.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in healthcare, non-profit organization, or local government agency.

Working Conditions
Working conditions are normal for an office environment with flexibility in schedule.
Current Valid Ohio driver’s license and auto insurance, and access to a motor vehicle.
Physical Requirements
This position may include physical demands such as the ability to intensely focus and handle stressful situations. You will primarily be working on a computer and sitting in this role.
