A bit about the role
In this role you will provide direct clinical support, education and supervision to Maternal and Child Nurses, Student and Staff, strengthening clinical education and outcomes for families.
What you’ll deliver
In collaboration with the MCH Clinical educator
- Contribute to the design and implementation of the MCH student and graduate program.
- Develop and present educational materials, professional development opportunities, MCH procedures and guidelines, and resources for students, graduates and staff.
- Influence the development of innovative strategies to support MCH professionals.
- Utilise specialist knowledge and experience to promote a culture of research, quality improvement and clinical excellence.
- Work across a variety of appropriate sites and MCH programs, including in-home support, within the municipality.
What you’ll bring
- Demonstrated recent experience in MCH nursing for a minimum of five years.
- Expertise in clinical practice, preceptorship and mentoring.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including experience providing constructive feedback and fostering a positive learning environment.
- Post Graduate Qualifications in Child & Family Health as recognised in Victoria to practice in Maternal and Child Health.
- Current AHPRA Registration as Division 1 Nurse and Midwife.
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in a variety of software programs and contemporary communication mechanisms.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History, Working with Children, Eligibility to Work, Psychometric Testing, Functional Assessment (Medical/physio).
