Overview
Under the general direction of the Vice President of People Operations, the People Operations Business Partner (HRBP) will support the alignment of business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The POBP will serve as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues, act as a change agent, and deliver HR solutions that enhance the employee experience and align with the company's strategic goals. This role requires strong business acumen, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build and sustain strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
HR Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to understand their goals, challenges, and workforce needs, providing strategic HR support to meet organizational objectives.
- Provide guidance and support to managers on employee relations issues, performance management, and corrective action plans.
- Support the development and execution of talent management strategies, including succession planning, career development, and workforce planning.
- Collaborate with leadership to assess training needs and deliver solutions to enhance employee capabilities and organizational performance.
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints, workplace issues, or policy violations and recommend appropriate resolutions.
- Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to promote a culture of belonging and collaboration across all levels of the organization.
- Lead new hire orientation and onboarding activities to foster a positive employee experience and reinforce company culture and values.
- Maintain HR metrics and analyze trends, including employee turnover, retention, and engagement, to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Perform heavy administrative tasks, including ensuring accuracy and timely entry of data in HRIS, LMS, and ATS systems.
- Respond to email communications in a timely and professional manner to maintain effective workflow and communication.
- Maintain proper records in HRIS, LMS, and ATS systems, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Exhibit strong leadership skills to effectively manage HR processes and support organizational goals.
- Collaborate in-depth with the Vice President of People Operations on all aspects of company culture to align with the mission of saving the lives of women, moms, sisters, aunts, and friends through innovative breast care.
Talent Acquisition
- Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to develop strategies for attracting and retaining top talent.
- Provide feedback and recommendations on job postings, candidate selection, and interview processes.
- Partner with managers to identify current and future talent needs and create effective recruitment strategies.
Benefits And Compliance
- Provide employees with guidance on company benefits, policies, and procedures.
- Assist employees with leave of absence requests, including FMLA, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Stay current on employment law and HR best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
- Support annual benefits open enrollment processes and assist with employee communication efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- A minimum of 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a business partner role.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR certification is preferred.
Physical Requirements
- The duties described above will require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
