An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced midwife to join our senior midwifery leadership team within NHS Tayside.
In Tayside we put women at the centre of our maternity service and aim to provide the best care for women and their families. We pride ourselves on the standard of care we provide to our women and their families and ensure high quality and safe care through strong leadership and a team approach.
Our maternity service is on an exciting journey to implement full caseloading midwifery teams who will care for women/people at home, in our stand alone midwife led units and our consultant led unit. We continue to support and implement the recommendations of the Best Start national review.
We are looking for an expert midwife to lead on strategic initiatives to promote and facilitate personalised midwifery care in all clinical settings. A strong desire to offer choice and evidence based practice is essential, with a focus on listening to the experience of women/persons and their families in order to ensure women/people and their families remain the central focus for care. The role will also be to lead and support midwives to accomplish their full potential as autonomous practitioners placing women/persons and their families at the centre of care planning. You will have the vision to improve services as well as evidence of effective leadership experience working at management level. There is a strong clinical focus to the role.
You will work closely with the senior midwifery team and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure a shared vision for maternity services and safe and effective care for families in Tayside.
We look forward to hearing from you.
