Job Description
We currently have an opportunity for an
experienced Registered Nurse to join our team on a
full-time basis (38 hours working over 4 days M/T/W/F), located in Hurstville.
Fertility nurses provide frontline care to our patients, supporting them along every step of their fertility treatment. This role is unique. Alongside clinical duties, a significant proportion of your role will involve providing patient care, support and education within an office environment. Patient interaction will also be performed over the telephone as well as in the clinic.
On a Daily Basis Your Role Will Involve
- Patient face to face interviews and phone conversations
- Collaborating with doctors and scientists coordinating care, working together to tailor unique treatment plans for each patient.
- Providing instructions to patients for the self-administration of IVF medications
- Providing results to patients over the phone and offering support at any point required
- Maintaining accurate patient records, clinical data entry and general administration duties
- Venepuncture
- Artificial insemination
- Participate in a rotating weekly after hours telephone roster / availability to work on occasional Saturday clinic
Qualifications
We are seeking an
experienced Registered Nurse (with a current AHPRA registration) with minimum 2 years experience, and someone who is
genuinely interested in specialising in fertility. You will have strong clinical skills, but also strong people skills, as a large component of this role involves support and counselling. We are looking for an empathetic person, who can build rapport and provide genuine, authentic care to our patients.
Mandatory Requirements
- Current APHRA as a registered Nurse with minimum 2 years experience.
- Venepuncture Competency
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
