Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Medical Assistant role at the Fertility Institute of Hawaii. If you like to stay busy, are a team player, and have a passion for learning in the healthcare field, this may be an excellent opportunity for you! The clinic is a fast-paced Fertility practice.
The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:
- Assisting the doctor with appointments and in-office procedures
- Closely assisting our IVF Coordinators (RN's)
- Answering multi-line phones and managing patient messages via text
- Drawing blood and doing injections (optional)
- Monitoring supplies and preparing the room for procedures
- Providing excellent customer service to our patients
Ideal candidates will need to be computer literate, have good typing skills, and be familiar with an EMR system. They should also have excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language, be able to multitask, pay attention to detail, and follow through on all tasks in a timely manner. We are looking for a person with strong initiative, drive, and a willingness to learn!
Qualifications
- Excellent Patient Care Skills
- Experience in Medical Office procedures and handling Medical Records is preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred
- Experience in reproductive health or fertility clinics is a plus
