About The Role
The Clinical Nurse – Clinical Products Coordinator CPC) is an experienced Perioperative Nurse, who possess an advanced level of perioperative skills and knowledge in relation to surgical techniques, equipment and instrumentation. The CPC provides clinical advice to staff in relation to product selection, by sourcing information on latest surgical technology and techniques. The CPC coordinates the purchasing process for clinical equipment and consumables. This role is key in ensuring the appropriate par levels of consumables are available for elective and emergency surgery requirements.
About You
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- An Advanced level of clinical skills and knowledge in perioperative nursing within a range of surgical specialities (including adults, paediatrics and obstetric care).
- Problem solving and time management skills in order to maintain patient flow in a rapidly changing environment.
- The ability to troubleshoot and promote critical thinking to minimise risk and maximise patient safety.
- Ability to apply well developed interpersonal and communication skills within a multidisciplinary environment, including negotiation, consultation and conflict resolution. Communication style which reflects self-awareness and promotes a positive work environment.
- Possess the ability to perform cost analysis, consumable usage auditing, management of product safety recalls, and coordinate product trials.
- Possess work values which demonstrate honesty, integrity and respect for all patients, carers and staff.
Mandatory Requirements
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
