Luminis Health is currently seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to join our well-established independent Midwifery practice, which provides gynecologic and obstetric care in Annapolis, MD. Admitting privileges are at Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center.

Responsibilities Include

Performing well-person exams, gynecologic problem visits, contraception counseling/management, prenatal visits, and facilitating CenteringPregnancy (group prenatal care)
Antepartum care - including teaching and counseling support; evaluating clinical findings and reviewing results with the client and their family; functioning under established protocols for specific medications and treatments
Intrapartum Care - managing the care of patients experiencing an essentially normal delivery; assessing patients in labor to determine progress and maintain records; handling any issues should they arise
Postpartum Care - managing patient care, based on assessment of emotional and physical stress; functioning under specific protocols for specific medications and treatments; instructing and counseling patients in regard to health issue
Providing well-person health care for individuals who currently, or previously, have/had female reproductive organs; evaluating and treating minor gynecological problems according to established protocols; consulting and referring to physician; ordering lab tests when required; consulting with patients regarding health issues

Requirements Include

Current licensure to practice Certified Nurse Midwifery in the state of Maryland
Competency to function in all areas of Nurse Midwifery
Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
Call coverage 1:8, 12 or 24-hour shifts available
Being in agreement with the philosophy of LH Midwifery regarding women health issues
