Position Purpose
Research Associate to lead studies investigating the impact of maternal exposures to environmental stressors on placenta health.
Essential Functions
Use in vivo and in vitro models of mouse placenta to study toxic responses to PFAS (Per-and polyfluoroalkyl Substances);
Analyze data and prepare peer reviewed manuscripts and poster/oral presentations;
Provide routine lab maintenance and organization tasks;
Lab duties including animal husbandry and colony management, molecular biology, statistics, and toxicological assessments among others;
Assist in training other students and fellows in the lab.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Doctorate degree
Physiology, Toxicology, Reproductive Sciences, or similar
Experience: Experienced (minimum 2 years of job-related experience)
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Mouse handling and placental histology, software utilization for biochemical and statistical data analysis.
