WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are actively seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager with a proven ability to lead cross-functional, end-to-end transformational process assessments for our clients and the industry. This individual should thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced hybrid Agile environment, demonstrating expertise in product road mapping, backlog management, and strategy development. The ideal candidate will excel in complex problem-solving, stakeholder advising, and managing performance metrics.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Reporting directly to our Resource Manager, as a Product Manager on our team, you will initially work onsite 3x days a week in our client’s office located in the Greater Baltimore area. You will own and lead the transformation lifecycle, including scoping, planning, and executing tasks for cross-functional assessments. Key responsibilities include delivering and maintaining the product roadmap, creating expert-level artifacts such as steering committee presentations and planning frameworks, and facilitating daily and weekly scrum meetings and huddles. You’ll act as an advisor to define vision and strategies, draft status updates, and communicate effectively with varied audiences. Additionally, you’ll establish standards and strategy, oversee task execution, and ensure the successful transition of solutions to business partners, while governing the quality of output and team performance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 8+ years of total relevant work experience
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Experience leading project or agile teams
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher preferred
- PMP and PROSCI (or equivalent Change Management) certification required
- Advanced Agile Certification or 5 years of equivalent experience
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop a consultative partnership with Lead Manager and Business Sponsors to develop a vision statement and associated foundational documents including scope definition, success measures, product roadmap, reporting approach, agile sprint cadence and overall governance.
- Develop detailed yet transparent product roadmap that aligns to the sponsor vision and established timeline. Identify and appropriately sequence tasks that will allow for timely and transparent execution by all team members. When roadblocks arise, diplomatically provides expert analysis and fit for purpose action plans to mitigate any risks or delays. Actively owns and manages product backlog to reach approved milestone dates while ensuring on-time delivery of assessment results.
- Lead and direct team members throughout the planning and execution of Agile activities such as Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-Ups, Acceptance Demos and Retrospective Discussions.
- Utilize existing standard artifacts and frameworks, develops, or enhances new artifacts or presentations when needed, balancing bespoke needs with standard ways of working.
- Prepare for individual conversations, group update meetings and working sessions by establishing clear agendas designed to produce meaningful output. Facilitate all relevant discussions with tact and purpose. Provide thoughtful direction while respecting opposing points of view and instilling confidence across meeting attendees. Ensure that task execution and team administration are effectively addressed while leading high frequency team scrum stand-up meetings.
- Act as an expert and an advisor to the Lead Manager to establish internal strategies and reach alignment across stakeholders and varying levels of leadership. Upon reaching alignment, continuous improvement recommendations should be articulated to business unit leaders.
- Provide complex analysis and illustrate expertise in storyboarding skills for SLT presentations along with ad-hoc visuals to concisely market the effectiveness of the assessment’s results and progression. Establish and instill storyboarding best practices across the Transformation Office.
- Determine where measurement gaps exist, implement measurement plans, and designate ownership to fill those gaps. Review operational data/metrics, analyze and synthesize the data, and compile it into reports or presentations.
- Engage and direct business leaders; set goals, manage expectations, and provide detailed plans (ownership, operational responsibility, management, continuity, knowledge, benefits realization) for business unit transition.
- Build up and develop team members regarding Project Management, Agile Methodologies and Product Ownership.
