Description: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team, collaborating on the delivery of holistic, comprehensive care and support to patients/residents and families. The LPN must be able to team lead effectively on their own. The LPN works to the full scope of practice in providing safe, quality care in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the AUPE Auxiliary Nursing Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:
Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Practical Nursing program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.
Additional Required Qualifications:
1 year of recent maternal-newborn experience and/or successful completion (within the last 2 years) of a preceptorship in postpartum/antepartum. Skilled at working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and competing priorities with efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) would be preferred. Strong understanding of the Baby-Friendly Initiative essential. Connect Care training and relevant experience preferred. Must possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
