Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified sonographer to join the forward thinking ultrasound team of the Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. A newly built Community Diagnostic Hub (CDC) will be opening in April 2025 and this is the opportunity to join the team that will rotate through this facility.
The ultrasound department within the Trust is managed as an obstetric and a non-obstetric team, with sonographers having the opportunity to specialize into a specific area or keep skills in both. This new post will add to the dynamics of the team. The successful applicant s will be able to discuss their preferred areas.
Main duties of the job
You will be working with the team of friendly, dedicated and hardworking sonographers within the ultrasound department.
You will work in all sites where ultrasound services are provided by Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust . The sonographers in Hull have always been at the leading edge of service developments such as MSK, prostate, infertility work and independent reporting skills. Our community ultrasound services have expanded and we are proud to have developed a diagnostic and clinical management advice service within the primary sector.
The ultrasound department is committed to training and has close links with the Hull & York Medical School and the School of Healthcare at Leeds University as well as BMUS and the specialist interest groups in the SCOR. Role extension, CPD, KSF and flexible working are actively supported.
The core hours of the department are 8.00am through to 18.00pm with some expectation to cover weekends and bank holidays.
