- Completely Remote DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The Maternal and Infant Care Clinic provides comprehensive pregnancy-related services and ongoing obstetric care for women with health conditions or special challenges that may complicate pregnancy or birth.Our specialty services include caring for diabetes during pregnancy, reducing the risk of premature births, navigating multiple gestations, and treating and monitoring complex medical conditions during pregnancy. We diagnose and treat prenatal conditions such as placenta previa, bleeding during pregnancy, and fetal development complications. Our team of highly specialized providers cares for the most complicated and highest risk pregnancies in the region.We are dedicated to making sure you have the highest level of care possible as you begin your journey to motherhood. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Under general supervision, perform specialized clerical and technical duties to facilitate the delivery of patient care
- Function as an expert in both patient service area and registration; perform the work of registration and scheduling or unit coordination
- Follow an effective workflow for the referral process to address both internal and external referrals, as well as communicating with referring providers
- Document the steps in the process
- Utilize forms and letters to document the process
- Follow processes for specific subspecialty referrals with physicians
- Oversee referral process and ensure compliance with process
- Maintain a database for tracking referrals using EPIC
- Create, maintain, and adjust provider templates per provider requests QUALIFICATIONS
- High school graduation or equivalent
- Two years Patient Services Specialist 2 experience OR
