We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Lab Supervisor / Senior Embryologist to join our dynamic team at Mid-Iowa Fertility.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embryology and assisted reproductive technologies (ART), with a proven track record in clinical and laboratory settings. As a Senior Embryologist, who is seeking to advance into a leadership role or a lab supervisor seeking a dynamic opportunity, you will play a crucial role in our fertility treatment processes, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and laboratory practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced ART procedures, including in vitro fertilization (IVF), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), embryo biopsy, and cryopreservation.
- Conduct detailed assessments of oocytes, sperm, and embryos.
- Manage the daily operations of the embryology laboratory, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Oversee and mentor junior embryologists and laboratory technicians.
- Collaborate with the medical team to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Maintain accurate and thorough records of all laboratory procedures and patient data.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of laboratory protocols and practices.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in embryology and reproductive medicine.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Reproductive Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an embryology laboratory, with extensive experience in IVF and ART procedures.
- Certification (TS) by a recognized professional body (e.g., ABB) is highly desirable. Must be willing to apply for TS as soon as possible if currently does not have a TS.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment and techniques used in embryology.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
