About The Role
The primary purpose of this position is to balance sheet reconciliations related to employment obligations and oversee the Accounts Payable function. As a Finance Officer – Accounts Payable, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of weekly creditor payments through the finance system and handling bank interface systems. Additionally, this position will manage associated balance sheet reconciliations and accruals, support to the Accounting Services team with End of Month tasks and offer backfill assistance when team members are on annual leave.

Selection Criteria
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in accountancy and financial management.
- Experience in maintaining the Accounts Payable function, including End of Month/Year accruals, reconciliations, and audit obligations.
- Proficient in word processing, email, spreadsheets, payroll and accounts payable systems.
- Well-developed organisational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise workloads effectively to meet competing deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
