Ambulatory OBGYN Staff Nurse - Per Diem - IVF 5C Procedural Unit
Summary
Job Summary
Responsible for patient care and support within our hospital's outpatient setting through providing compassionate care, assisting in procedures, and collaborating effectively in a dynamic ambulatory care environment.
Essential Functions
Deliver direct patient care and support in our ambulatory care unit, ensuring high nursing standards.
Conduct patient assessments, devise care plans, and assist in outpatient procedures with a focus on patient comfort and safety.
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and post-procedure care.
Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
Administer medications, perform IV therapy, and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulations.
Uphold infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

The Staff Nurse Will Be Responsible For
- Providing care for IVF patients in the procedural area- Pre-op, OR, PACU
- Patient cycle calls
- Working collaboratively to provide excellent care to patients and families in the
safest environment.

Qualifications
Education
Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration in Massachusetts. A Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required for newly
licensed nurses.
Licenses and Credentials
Registered Nurse [RN - Massachusetts License] required
Experience
- Clinical nursing experience 3 years required.
- Previous IVF care coordination and triage experience preferred.
- Previous OR/PACU/moderate sedation experience is preferred.
- Previous experience and demonstrated skill with IV placement preferred.
- Previous IVF procedural experience is preferred.
- Experience in team-based care is preferred.
- Other: Membership in professional organizations is recommended, and certification in a specialty area is encouraged.
- Able to work weekend rotation per the MNA contract.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Proficient knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development.
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and healthcare technologies.
