Pay Information $2,270 to $2,300 per week About The Position Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Technologist (Ultrasound Tech) to join our diagnostic imaging team. In this role, you will perform non-invasive diagnostic imaging procedures using ultrasound technology to assist physicians in diagnosing medical conditions. You will work directly with patients, ensuring their comfort while producing accurate, high-quality images for medical analysis. Key Responsibilities: Perform Ultrasound Examinations: Use ultrasound equipment to conduct diagnostic exams on patients, producing clear, high-quality images for review by physicians. Patient Preparation & Care: Explain ultrasound procedures to patients, ensuring they are informed and comfortable. Assist with positioning patients correctly for optimal imaging and ensure their safety throughout the process. Image Quality & Documentation: Capture and document detailed images, reviewing the results to ensure accuracy. Provide preliminary observations to the physician, and ensure all images are properly archived in the patient's medical record. Patient Safety & Comfort: Monitor patients throughout the ultrasound procedure, addressing any concerns and ensuring patient comfort. Provide support for patients, particularly those who may be anxious about the procedure. Collaboration with Healthcare Team: Work closely with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that imaging procedures align with the patient’s diagnosis and medical history. Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that ultrasound equipment is functioning properly, performing routine maintenance checks and reporting any technical issues for troubleshooting or repairs. Maintain Patient Records: Accurately document patient information, including the type of ultrasound exam performed, findings, and any additional relevant notes, following HIPAA guidelines. Continuing Education & Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in ultrasound technology and imaging techniques to continually improve patient care and imaging results.
9523796EXPPLAT Job Requirements Qualifications: Education: Completion of an accredited ultrasound technology program. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Ultrasound Technology, or a related field is preferred. Licensure/Certification: Certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or other recognized certification bodies (e.g., Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)) is required. State licensure, if applicable. Experience: At least [X] years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, performing a range of ultrasound exams (e.g., abdominal, obstetric, musculoskeletal, vascular). Skills: Proficient in operating ultrasound machines and related imaging equipment. Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology to accurately capture and analyze images.
