Description
Oneida Health is seeking a talented Nurse Practitioner (NP) with OBGYN experience to join our outpatient Women’s Health practice in Oneida. Our experienced team is comprised of three board-certified physicians and four Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). The ideal candidate will have two or more years of experience and be a self-starter who can “hit the ground running.” Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM, with one remote admin day. There is no call requirement.
Compensation: $98,500 to $139,900 per year

What You’ll Be Great At
- Assessing and establishing a presumptive diagnosis and implementing treatment plans
- Making accurate and complete entries into the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing and consults as appropriate and prescribing appropriate medical therapy utilizing evidence-based practice
- Prescribing, adjusting, or discontinuing medications or therapies as appropriate
- Evaluating and reporting to the physician any circumstances or test results that present a significant risk to the patient's health or well-being
- Performing procedures within the scope of practice of the nurse practitioner license
- Communicating appropriate information to physicians, patients, PCP, and referring staff
- Instilling confidence in patients acting as their advocate by providing safe, ethical care and health education to the patient and family
