```Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing for medical services. This position requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of medical coding and terminology, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical office environment.
Duties:
- Review and analyze medical records to identify appropriate codes for billing purposes
- Enter and submit claims to insurance companies or other third-party payers
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve any billing discrepancies
- Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries or disputes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and billing information
- Stay current with changes in medical coding systems (ICD-10, ICD-9) and billing regulations
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure accurate documentation and coding
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of medical coding systems (ICD-10, ICD-9) and terminology
- Familiarity with medical billing software systems
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of insurance guidelines and reimbursement processes
